Hiral has completed her undergraduate studies in occupational therapy in India. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in occupational therapy while working at JLDTherapy as a occupational therapy aide. She is also an active student member of American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC).
Over the past four years, Hiral has worked as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of settings. She has particular interest to work with neurology related clients which include a broad range of patients from pediatrics to older adults. She has an experience of organizing and handling pediatric occupational therapy set-up. She has worked successfully with cases like ASD, CP, Down’s syndrome, ADHD, and developmental delay. Hiral’s therapy interests includes activities to enhance physical capabilities, behavior modification therapy, sensory integration, swiss ball therapy, practical skills, fine motor tasks, gross motor skills, brain-games, visual motor skills, ADLs and self-care, hand therapy and counseling.
Serving humanity is her passion. She has taken part in various occupational therapy awareness events like free check-up camps, free treatment programs, and public awareness educational conferences. She has also served her free services as a part-time lecturer of medical professionals on different topics like OT for gynecology, OT for pediatrics, OT for dentists and OT for the pain clinic. Hiral has also received specialized training and certification in Handwriting Without Tears (HWT). She has also has done specialization in Zones of Regulation training.
Outside of therapy, Hiral enjoys spending time with her puppy, cooking, traveling, camping, exploring food with her husband, playing tennis, painting, and reading novels.
